THE FRONT ROOM WAS CALLED A "WAKE ROOM" AND WAS USED FOR FUNERALS. THE ONLY ENTRANCE TO THIS ROOM WAS FROM OUTSIDE. ALBRIGHT WROTE A HISTORY OF SUMNER CO. THIS IS AN UNUSUAL PLAN; THERE ARE 2 FRONT ENTRANCES.
