Ed Moseley founded Bendabout Farm by 1870, operating as a large livestock farm before leaving for Texas in 1902. Sallie Smalling, his sister, acquired the property and by 1946 it was owned by her daughter, Sadie Frizzell, a teacher at the Webb School.
